A Better Life for Nikki Fundraising Campaign

Thank you for joining us for this Fundraising event to assist this beautiful woman, Nikki Hunter and her husband Steve Hunter.

Nikki has been diagnosed with a condition known as Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). A condition that has completely changed both Nikki and Steve's lives and tipped their world upside down. FND interferes with the functioning of the nervous system by stopping the brain from sending or receiving signals properly. After seizures, Nikki must retrain her brain to get the correct signals through to be able to walk, talk, improve coordination etc. This is physically and emotionally exhausting and can take weeks each time.

Nikki experiences dizziness, headaches, fatigue, involuntary movements, seizures and speech problems. Her life is now a roller coaster of improvements then relapse. Unfortunately, Medical professionals can?t guarantee whether Nikki will improve, how long that would take or whether there will be recurring episodes.

Nikki's condition has had a huge impact on her husband Steve, who is now caring for her when she has her seizures in addition to working. Steve currently has to physically lift Nikki up and down stairs, assist her in the bathroom and around their home. All of the funds raised from A Better Life for Nikki will be donated towards essential home remodelling, including bathroom alterations, driveways and pathways for Nikki to access and to assist Steve with caring for his wife.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start with entertainment by Ezio De Angelis & Michelle De Angelis, Lana F Jackson, Janine Louise Medium and Special Guest appearances by Yianna Nicholas and Cheer Leaders, as well as Silent Auction Raffles - all items purchased must be paid in full on the night of the event before Item can be collected. Please bring cash on the night to purchase raffle tickets.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to appear in this footage it is on a volunteer basis only and no remuneration will be exchanged unless agreed otherwise prior to filming/photography. JLM Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any participant under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol. No refund on any ticket purchased, however, tickets may be transferred to another party, JLM Management must be notified prior to the event date purchased.
